The proprietor was so nice and helpful. He gave great advice on local activities nearby. We loved our stay and wished would could have stayed longer. The breakfast was wonderful, the atrium was beautiful.

Comfortable and very clean.

We stayed for 3 nights and were very well looked after. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. David and Doreen did everything they could to make us feel welcome. A most enjoyable stay and we would recommend very highly.

Due to a family bereavement they were unable to offer breakfast, but we had not booked breakfast anyway. Although we were there in late August the town was incredibly quiet. Most food and drink places were closed for the duration of our 3 night stay, for breakfast or dinner. But McMunns were open on our last night and we got a good dinner there.

This stay was amazing. After going around Ireland and visiting Northern Ireland for 8 days, this was our favorite stay. I would highly recommend booking at least a night or two here. Amazing!

The Tides B & B is a wonderful place to stay in Ballybunion. It is clean and quiet and the mattress, pillows, and blanket were perfect. The bathroom had a bathtub and a separate shower, all updated. The continental breakfast the next morning was absolutely amazing with many choices of breads, cereals, juices, coffee, etc. My husband elected to pay a bit more and got a serving of crepes which were delicious! I would recommend The Tides without hesitation.

This is a super clean modern B&B run by a wonderful couple in a great part of Ireland. David the host is a local expert on everything of local interest including how to play each hole at Ballybunion’s old course. His wife provides breakfast choices that are exceptional. Great place to stay!

Felt at home from the minute we arrived although we didn’t have breakfast we were given cakes when we checked out and offered coffee👍 Room was very comfy spacious and Spotlessly clean David was a fabulous host recommended places to visit and eat which we tried and we’re not disappointed Would recommend coast coffee shop

Lovely Host, Lovely Accommodations

Owner was a gracious and humorous host. Room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless. Breakfast was delicious. Easy access to Ballybunion golf and other sights. Good, safe parking. Anybody whoever gave this property a bad review must have real mental issues - and I’m a trained therapist, so I can professionally make that diagnosis! Stay at The Tides B & B - it’s terrific!

How do I even begin to say how amazing the experience was to stay at The Tides. Our original plans for another B&B were cancelled by mistake and we were stuck without a place to stay shortly before dinner. When we did some research we discovered The Tides. AND WOW WHAT A COMPLETE JOY! It’s better than we could have imagined. From the moment we walked into meet it hosts and saw their beautiful home, to great advice to where we could fine, to the amazing accommodations and the breakfast of Irish perfection—wow! (we felt like it was the way traveling used to be…no hotel or hurried attitudes—-only being with real people who wanted to take care of us). It was by accident we found The Tides, but it will be on purpose that we want to return and tell everyone how worth Ballybunion is because The Tides made us feel welcomed and rested and fed with the best Ireland could offer! Thank you Doreen & David and to Expedia for offering The Tides!

Outstanding stay! Property is comfortable and quiet. Room was large and well appointed for three golfers. The owner, David, was incredibly helpful and attentive. He arranged travel to and from downtown and golf during our three day stay — he actually drove us himself early one morning. We had also arranged for a car service to drive us from Ballybunion to Lahinch, but they showed up in a small vehicle and we had three set of golf clubs luggage. David solved our problem by quickly arranging a van, which met us on property within 20 mins. Life saver!! Can’t recommend the Tides more highly!
