The lady that checked us in was very friendly and offered advice about where to visit. It was nice to be greeted with a smile and the same for when we went down for breakfast. "There are not many places to stay in Wimborne. This is probably the best. Don’t expect elevators or lots of modern conveniences here. This is a 16th century hotel with narrow staircases and our room had beamed ceilings and a copper bathtub. What is great is that it is right in the won center and has enough free and secure parking so you don’t need to use a public carpark."

"For a midweek night away or to be fair anytime away you can’t go wrong with Derby Manor. The rooms are excellent tidy and cleaned. The staff go over and above to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The breakfast caters for all dietary requirements so you will not go hungry. Would I go back again In. Heartbeat."

"It is clear that no one checks rooms on a regular basis. Many items broken or no working—lamps, a/c, mirror lights. This was on top of stained area rugs, poop on the toilet (outside pedestal), and broken phone. After one switch (and down grade) from one room…still had issues. Staff could only write down issues since maintenance was not on site/off duty until next weekday. And parking…crazy town. Not free. Not close. Attempted to eat dinner late one night but chef called in sick and no sign was...
