Comfortable and quiet rooms, great bathroom and convenient location
Brilliant location for our Dalesway walk and staff were just brilliant as our time changed a couple of times during the days walking meaning we were later than expected but staff dealt with brilliantly and always with a smile
This was a great place to stay. It was a bit far away from the city center. The room was very nice,, and we would stay here again but definitely better for stays related to events at the site or playing golf than a pass through see Kendal location
Nice clean room, quiet location on the edge of the town.
One thing though, the room I booked said countryside views? I think it would be fairer to say countryside location, there was no view, apart from the carpark.
Bed was extremely comfortable. All the staff were very friendly.

Clean and comfortable. Made very welcome. Shower is lovely. Room was very warm even with radiator turned down, as I was on ground floor couldn't really have windows open at night. Bit disappopinted milk and bottled water not replenished or bin emptied.
Excellent stay. Staff and accomodation first class. Being a golfer it was perfect . The facilities and course were excellent. The course despite the horrendous recent weather was excellent and a credit to the greenkeepers. Can’t wait to go back.
The room was immaculate, clean and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was tip top!
We shall DEFINITELY stay again!
The only drawback is that it’s too far to walk to town but there are plenty of taxis approx £6..
Unfortunately their restaurant wasn’t open as it was a week day but their recommendation of Bangkok 7 Thai restaurant was spot on and a “Must go” place to eat- it was superb!

No one at the reception when we arrived so had to wait a bit and then another couple then said we had to go to the bar area . Lodge good but surprised no lounge area snd 2 separate bedrooms nice big bathroom . Had a good stay
Probably the best and most modern bathroom I have been a guest in, which was very much appreciated, and the bedroom was also clean and comfortable. My only minor quibble was the permanently-on green light above the door, presumably to light the exit in case of emergency, but it was quite bright and made it more difficult to sleep - not a big problem, but definitely annoying, and I couldn't find any way to switch it off (odd I've not seen this in any hotel) Apart from that, a very comfortable stay.
Overall the room and bathroom were in good condition and nicely decorated. The room lacked lighting, and only had 3 table-side lamps for the whole room with no main light which left the room dark at all times of the day. There were a few large cobwebs in the corner of the room, however overall the stay was good and would stay again
Beautifully appointed lodge room situated on the edge of a golf complex approx 30 minute walk from Kendal. We stayed in Dalesway, lodge 2. Lovely fresh linen and very comfortable bed. Nice selection of complimentary toiletries in a luxury bathroom with both a bath and huge walk in shower. The main bedroom was a bit small with no room for open cases so probably best for an overnight or weekend stay. Note also that rooms are not serviced daily.
The breakfasts here are amazing, full English, sourdough with eggs benedict, salmon or avocado. Decent coffee too. Staff here are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Check in was seamless but I would recommend arriving during their office hours.
Our only criticism was that the room was advertised with a restaurant but in reality it’s a B&B as the dinner choice is very limited (basically the breakfast plus one main and one veg option). Also it closes really early by comparison.
Overall very good experience - the hotel, the rooms, cleanliness, staff, value for money, check in, check out, standard of rooms and facilities - All excellent. Except that there is cow dung smell when you open windows because of the farms and animals in the nearby houses, sheds etc. I understand its not related to hotel, but just rural locality. So i would still rate the hotel and stay as excellent.
