"The hotel is conveniently located for reaching the major tourists spots. It's right on the canal, and our room had a lovely view. There are plenty of restaurants close by. The hotel is very quiet. There were nice robes. The sandals were handy for me but were too small for my husband. The room temperature was easily controllable. On the negative side, the room lighting was very inadequate. Similarly, there were no drawers for unpacking into. There was a small space for hanging clothes and 2 (but only 2) hooks for jackets. Next to the beds, there were small end-tables, but those didn't have any drawers either. Essentially, this is a place where you have to live out of your suitcase."

"This is a green hotel that has a large resident student population. Overall it was great. Located a few blocks from Amstel station made getting around Amsterdam very easy. Restaurant and coffee bar were good and staff was very friendly and helpful."

"The bed was very comfortable and the location was great and staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we weren't very impressed with the fact we got checked in to a room that already had a guest staying in it when we arrived and then were put in a different room with a sticking lock that we ended up locked in twice which seems like a significant fire hazard and inconvenience to us trying to leave. Additionally, the underbed storage space was incredibly dusty, most of the buttons on the TV remotes didn't work and we weren't able to get access to a hairdryer for my wife after she'd showered. So while we did enjoy our stay overall it's not really what we'd have expected from a €200+ a night room"

"Every aspect of the hotel was spot on no faults. Even when I was emailing the evening before my arrival to arrange something nice in our room to surprise and celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. "The staff are pretty unhelpful and quite rude. It’s a really hands off experience. No way of contacting reception. No water in the room. Nothing to do around the property. Rooms are comfy and clean. The station is very near to get into the centre of town"
