If you visit the House of the Virgin Mary in Ephesus, remember to bring paper/ cloth and a pen. After you exit the house you go down the terrace where you may drink from the holy water fountain and write a wish to add to this wall. It was fun to see what other visitors from around the world wished for. One note translated from Mandarin read, "I wish for a handsome husband and money."
