Holiday Inn FRENCH QUARTER-CHATEAU LEMOYNE by IHG

Maison St Charles

10/10 Excellent

"Property was right where the green line street car would stop. So easy to get around and also walking distance to WWII museum. Safe property being is staffed also by security guard and property has a 8 ft gate around the whole premises. Another plus is right next door is a good restaurant of Mr.Eds oyster bar. Area is not a party area so can get a good nights sleep. Only down side is no coffee pot in room, but does have breakfast (for 14.99), or can get free coffee in the lobby area. Uber cost from airport is under $40 for two people. Even though put out do not disturb sign on door, they did still go in and cleaned and added new towels each morning. May need a clip to keep curtain closed so no one can peek in. Has a safe in each room for protecting your items/cash. Don’t advise eating at Wendy’s ( it was not great at all), Popeyes wasn’t bad though. Each only 2/3 minute walk to. Would stay again."

Sonesta ES Suites New Orleans Downtown

8/10 Good

"The property is centrally located with plenty of local transportation available. Most of the attractions and restaurants are at walkable distance. The daytime front desk manager was extremely helpful and very courteous. The kitchen staff was very efficient in keeping the breakfast hot and ready. The worst part about this property is parking. There's a paid public parking adjacent to this place but it smelt horribly. Many unwanted people hang out in this parking place and in front and around the property. The rooms are very spacious and clean but the carpets are dirty with too many stains."

Wyndham New Orleans - French Quarter

8/10 Good

"Whenever we visit NOLA we usually stay at this location. The location is excellent for visiting the French Quarter and the staff has always been friendly and helpful. However, this stay is making us think we have stayed here for the last time. Our room was worn and didn’t feel clean. The wallpaper in the bathroom was coming off, the soap dispenser fell off the wall in the shower and the mattress was deplorable! When I reported these to the lady at the desk she said the hotel needed renovations. asked why I was given a room that needed renovations and she didn’t reply. This is the second Wyndham we have stayed at that hasn’t stood up to the usual Wyndham standard we had known in the past. I guess it’s time to move on."

Sheraton New Orleans Hotel

8/10 Good

"We come down to NOLA at least once a year. First time staying at the Sheraton on Canal St and the staff is great! Everyone very kind and helpful. The rooms could use a good deep clean and some updating. The carpet was extremely dirty. It is dark brown and you could see black stains all over it. The edges were so dusty they were white. Our socks were filthy from walking on it. I’m not sure what was happening with the air conditioning but every time it kicked on there were visible particles in the air. It’s too bad because the staff is amazing. The Westin or Hyatt Centric are much cleaner."
