"No Internet, noise from room next to us at 4.50am. Arrived after midnight due to long drive and the room we where meant to have already had people in it. Where given another room. But a bit of waiting about to get room. "

"Recently thoroughly enjoyed a two night stay at The Old Vicarage, having visited in Sept 2025, I immediately booked again for Feb 2026. Once again the location was idyllic, our room and shared kitchen were excellent. The owners Gerry & Patricia were fabulous hosts, the dogs Frank & Elsa were very welcoming and the kitten Jennifer was lovely. The breakfasts, both full English and scrambled eggs with salmon were outstanding. In the afternoon we visited the nearby Heart of the Shires Shopping Village which was a wonderful journey back in time with a variety of outlets which made us smile. In the evening we had a meal at the nearby White Hart Pub Restaurant. The Indian Food on offer was without doubt some of the best which I have tasted. I will most certainly return to The Old Vicarage in the future. "

"The room was clean and the bed was great. The shower was lovely and powerful. The staff were polite and very helpful . We had an enjoyable stay ."

"Room was clean but cold, no heating in the room on arrival an extra oil rad was supplied,then of course it got too hot early morning 1,2,3,4, am Bathroom heater too small for the size of the room not helped by not having a blind to keep the cold from the windows, a blind was fitted before because wall plugs were still in situation, dressing/ tea, coffee table wobbly so hot liquid did spill, cheap and nasty piece of furniture, Barby room this is our room we stayed in , hopefully the next two visits room selected will be better. Rant over."
