But not enough surfaces/hooks in the bathroom for toiletries, etc. Staff was extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a decent variety of hot and cold options. "Good in almost every respect except for the most critical element: the bed was rock hard and the pillows were uncomfortable and unsupportive. Consequently, I suffered from a very poor night's sleep. I've stayed here many times in the past but not particularly recently. So perhaps they've changed the matresses and bedding since I was last here, or I've been unlucky with this 4th floor room. Gym was useful. Breakfast is included and decent."

"Generally the standard of hygiene could be improved dramatically , just very dusty and dirty in certain areas. They just need to hoover the carpet more. We had a blocked sink and the water wasn’t very warm despite setting to maximum. I understand other guests had similar issues. Positives were - very friendly staff, comfy bed and oreo snacks were nice"

"Toilet situation misleading - I thought I booked an en-suite with shower i.e. rather than a bath. It was a shower in the corner of the room. Shared toilet down the landing!! - glad my wife wasn’t with me on this trip!!! This wouldn’t have been so bad had there been more toilet paper. Zero information in room e.g. wi-fi code. Nobody to speak with at the property - there was an emergency number - fortunately there was a Tesco express close-by. "
