We wanted to get away for the night before New Year's Eve so, after some research, booked one night's stay at The White Hart. We were not disappointed. After checking in we were shown to our room (in the adjacent building) and given an explanation of where things were etc. The room had a 4 poster bed, which was extremely comfortable, and an ensuite wet room with shower. The room was very clean, well appointed and comfortable.

Stunning property, gorgeous & delightfully helpful owners ( Doug & Kay)& in a beautiful part of the country. Close to good restaurants, historical villages & towns. Just a perfect weekend retreat.

The staff could not have done more, the food was amazing, the whole place was spotlessly clean, fridge in the room etc.
The shower was the only very minor thing that let it down. We prefer a hand held one to a rose from the top… personal choice.
We will certainly revisit when in the area. Great value… the pub/restaurant was LOVELY… a lot of thought has obviously gone into making it such a comfortable place to be. All the tables were spaced out well, with comfortable chairs…. The staffing levels...

Cory, the manager of The Fox, is a lovely host. Super hard working, he is around to serve breakfast and still managing the bar late at night. Nothing is too much trouble.
The rooms are spacious and warm. Parking is immediately outside the rooms and easily accessed.
Bury St Edmund’s is a lovely town with excellent shopping and coffee shops. Strongly recommend staying at The Fox for visiting Bury St Edmunds.

We battled the snow for a stay here and were so glad we did. The hotel is beautiful with all the wooden beams and real log fires and our bedroom was a really good size. Both dinner and breakfast were yummy and my husband even had a treatment in the spa which he enjoyed. My only criticism would be the lack of music. Other than the airman’s bar the whole building was in silence I think some light background music would have been nice and added some atmosphere. I understand a lot of your guests...
