Staff staff staff

We hadn't had good reviews for this hotel chain. It was our first visit and it changed our perspective on the hotel. Overall, the hotel is fully booked, the rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff's service is superlative; Sarah and Colin will make your stay sublime. The only drawback of the hotel is that it's 10 minutes from restaurants, although you can eat at the hotel restaurant, which is fine. It's also worth mentioning that the city center is a 14-minute walk away.

OK for tight budget

The stay at the hotel was disappointing. Staff is either understaffed or disappearing somewhere as you continuously had to wait for someone to show up at the front desk or at the bar if you wanted something. The room was relatively clean but the corridors are dirty, no sign of hoovering. It’s okay if you are on a tight budget but if you can spend more then try to book something else.

The room and bathroom were very clean. It was also very dark and quiet, which was great! The only complaint I have is the location. It doesn't have a ton of restaurants around, and it's a bit far away from everything else too.

It's fine and Good for the price

The room is a far size, and you are only five mins from town, no fridge in room and in a very run down area, but if you are in car or perpared to get a taxi in to town, only around 3-4 pound then in is very resonably priced. and if your not to bothered about a quick walk though rough area then all is good, clean put basic. no fridge and basic bedding, good size room for money, we would go back.

Sehr in Ordnung!

Liegt an verkehrsreicher Straße, scheint aber nur Zimmer zum Innenhof zu geben, so dass es ruhig ist. 5 min zur (Ring) UBahn, 10 mins in Zentrum zu Fuß, Central Station ca 15mins. In direkter Nähe ist ein gropßer Supermarkt, alle weiteren "Attraktionen" min 10 Fußminuten in Richtung Zentrum entfernt.

We were booked for a concert in SECC, hotel was walking distance, town centre was easily accessable, the big bonus was carparking. Were given permission to park even though room was not ready, (we were early)

Très satisfait dans l'ensemble

Nous sommes restés 3 nuits au Tulip Inn de Glasgow du 5 au 08 mai 2007. Nous avons été très satisfait des prestations fournis. Qualité de la chambre, diversité du petit-déjeuner, propreté, bien insonorisé... A proximité du centre ville (à pied). Nous le recommandons.

Fine for a short stay

Good hotel, basic but clean. Breakfast isn't usually included in the price but rather than pying the high prices at the hotel, I'd recommend taking a short walk into town to get something better value. The hotel isn't in the best location but a taxi home after a night out in the centre of town was 2.80 pounds - bargain! It's good place to stay if you're travelling by car because of the free, secure parking. It's also quiet so you should get a decent night's sleep.

Can't wait to go back

The staff was very accomodating and friendly. The room and hotel was clean and efficient. Great restaurant and lounge area. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the train stations and Merchant City. For the price of the hotel and the three star expectations, the Tulip Inn was great; I would stay here again.
