The beds were super comfy, everything worked fine. Keys were left in a lock box in front of property, which was convenient. The biggest disappointment is the neighbor above the unit. They kept us up most nights by the noise of walking around all hours of the night. We even had our white noise machine turned up. If you are a light sleeper, this is not for you. Good location, easy parking, great price
Stayed here with a family of four for 3 nights while visiting Glasgow and friends in the local neighbourhood. Joe was very accommodating and allowed us an early check-in after an overnight flight. Building is an older one, but suite is well equipped and maintained with modern fixtures, and ideal for either a short or long stay. Not far from airport, a quick bus trip into the city centre, and close walking distance to Victoria Park. Groceries, liquor store, and other amenities within walking distance. On a busy street, so be prepared for some traffic noise, and some very noisy seagulls that could wake one up at 4am, but otherwise a very pleasant stay. Would happily stay here again on our next trip to Glasgow.
I stayed in this flat for 10 nights and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The flat is clean, the double bed is very comfy and there is a huge TV with a good range of channels. Victoria Park is just across the road on the front and there is a cycle path at the back with an easy walk into Partick or cycle to Renfrew Ferry and beyond. There is a fantastic sports centre and swimming pool only 5 minutes walk away. There are plenty of buses across the road into Glasgow. The neighbours are quiet, there is only slight traffic noise at the front but this stops around 11pm, and the bedroom is on the back so not a problem sleeping. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Das Appartement selbst war grundsätzlich akzeptabel, vor allem, was die Sauberkeit und Ausstattung betraf. Der erste Eindruck beim Betreten des Treppenhauses (typisches Glasgower Mehrfamilienhaus Anf. 20. Jh.) war allerdings abstoßend. Der Blick in den Hinterhof noch mehr. Offensichtlich ist die Wohnung darunter seit Längerem nicht bewohnt und beheizt. Dadurch ist das Wohnzimmer in der Ferienwohnung extrem fußkalt; auch kontinuierliches Heizen hilft nicht (also nichts für die kältere Jahreszeit). Kontakt mit dem Vermieter nur per Telefon, Zugangscode (Key Lock) sollten erst am Ankunftstag per SMS mitgeteilt werden, hat aber nicht funktioniert. Größtes Problem: falsche Lagedarstellung: die Dumbarton Road beginnt zwar an der westlichen Innenstadt, ist aber mehr als 10 km lang. Lt. Expedia lag das Appartement ca. 1-2 km westlich der City, in Wirklichkeit war die Adresse aber weit westlich des Clyde-Tunnels, ca. 15 min per Auto bis ins Zentrum. Später habe ich gesehen, daß z.B. bei hotels.com die korrekte Lage angezeigt wurde (und an der Stelle hätten wir diese Unterkunft nicht ausgewählt). Allerdings gute Busverbindung, Haltestelle direkt vorm Haus.
Nice little apartment, great location close to the city. All amenities you could possibly need, parking is free. Would definately stay here again! Great value for money!
