"This Inn is on it's way to becoming a great stop. The renovated rooms were quite nice. The continental breakfast was a great bonus. The recommendation for supper at Glo (within walking distance) was awesome. One of the rooms we booked was not renovated yet so that is why it got a 4 star rating. Make sure you request a renovated room if your booking. You won't find a better deal in Victoria!"

"The location was most amazing! The view directly from our room was onto Esquimalt lagoon. We had free access to kayaks, paddle boards and bicycles. Ten minutes walk to Royal Roads University grounds, and Hadley Castle. The neighborhood is very pleasant and easily walkable. Twenty minutes drive west along the coast brings you to beautiful coastal access. The galloping goose trail is not far. The breakfasts were delicious. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. Highly recommended."

"I visit Victoria quite a bit and have stayed at many hotels around town, but I can truly say that the Oswego is unique in that it truly feels like a home rather than a place to stay. I loved the fact that they give you your choice of freshly ground coffee when you check in, and up at the room you can choose between a French press, a Chemex, or a drip coffee maker to prepare your morning brew. My teenaged daughter and I shared a two bedroom suite and we had plenty of room to spread out and relax between the bedrooms, the lounge, patio, and fully-equipped kitchen. I actually loved the space. I thought the parking with easy in-out access was great and there was a station for the new Victoria electric bike service just up the street. We really had a great time, and I really recommend the Oswego as a change of pace from the traditional hotels around the inner harbour."

"The hotel is definitely dated. You don’t notice it as much when you first walk in, but once you get to the hallways where the rooms are, you certainly do — including a bit of that “old church” smell. That said, everything was very clean and comfortable. The location is fantastic — right on the harbour and within easy walking distance of almost everything. There is currently construction directly outside, but it didn’t bother us and we couldn’t hear it from inside. Breakfast was fine and the dining room was lovely. My favourite part was that after breakfast it was essentially empty for the rest of the day. They played classical piano music, and I spent quite a bit of time working there. It was quiet, peaceful and fabulous. We booked two rooms. Both were dated, although the two-queen room was considerably more dated than the loft suite. The loft had a harbour view, a comfortable couch for sitting and chatting, and a well-stocked kitchenette. We didn’t cook, but it was great for simple things like making popcorn. The loft layout takes some getting used to, with the bed upstairs and bathroom downstairs, and the TV placement isn’t particularly practical. Still, the space worked well for us. If you’re looking for modern, this isn’t it, but it’s clean, comfortable and incredibly well located."
