The simplicity might be a little less than what some want, but the stay met every one of our needs. The environment was beautiful and the beach was our favorite on the island! "Excellent location, cute boutique hotel. Easily walk to local attractions and restaurants. Staff was very friendly!"

"The staff is the shining star of Emerald Resort. The resort is in need of updating, it has a great location and all the rooms face the beach but it is rundown. Which gives off as not being clean. At breakfast one of my travel companions' breakfast came with butter packets and one of the butter packets had already been used. Plus the sugar bowl had empty packets in it and the jelly packets had food smeared on the bottom which says they reuse them for other guests."

"This property is rented as a waterfront view. Half the time you’re there you will be looking directly at the side of a cruise ship that completely blocks any view of any water. I don’t know how this was overlooked when describing the property, but I think that everybody should know this before booking a waterfront room here."

The power on the island went out almost every night which is terrible for someone who has to use a CPAP to sleep. It seemed as though all of the units around us had generators. If we had one it was never brought to our attention. We had no way to exit the compound because the gate would only open from the outside.
