A Highlight of our vacation!! The room was exceptionally well thought out with no detail unconsidered. From the art to the large bathroom this 2 storey unit we stayed at left very little to be desired. The shower beer Friday was a fun add on and the young staff was quick on their feet when help was needed. Only comment for improvement is this: The units are mostly tailored towards men and could be taken to the next level by including more female specific details such as makeup remover and pads, tampons, hair elastics etc. we will see you soon again:)

This was a great hotel! They have an amazing complimentary breakfast and great food all around . Room was absolutely awesome. Possible the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The only complaint is it says if you have any issues or want room service to text them on what’s app and we texted them a couple times and we never got a response so we never got our tv to work or got room service but other than that it was good!

The staff were excellent. Any question we had was answered quickly. Having the breakfast included was a game changer as eating out in Edinburgh can start adding up quickly. There were a few things we noticed: the plants in the hotel communal area are not being maintained properly. They are wilting and the soil is dry, which is probably why that room has a musty smell and feel. Also, we stayed in the ‘Pale Ale’ suite and there was no clothing storage besides two shelves in the sleeping area. No hangers, no closet, and no hooks to hang anything except some in the living area, but they look like more industrial hooks. Overall we enjoyed our time. The location is perfect for exploring, and there is a major train station within a 5 minute walk of the hotel for exploring other cities.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Doghouse. Having stayed in some lovely hotels over the years, many of them are similar and monotonous. The Doghouse REALLY stands out from the crowd. It has huge amounts of character. The decor is fun and unique and I love how the rooms are themed on the different beers. The room itself was fantastic - on two levels with plenty of space, a large bed, sofa, kitchen and bathroom. The rooms are completely soundproof. There was no noise from the bar or other rooms at all. The food was amazing, we had breakfast there every day as it was included in our stay. The pancakes were huge so I'd only advise getting this if you're very hungry! Vegan breakfast was fantastic, would highly recommend! We also had a burger here on our first night which was very tasty. We might have eaten here a little more during our stay but there isn't a huge choice of options on the dinner menu. Though what they do have, they do very well. The staff were awesome and really made a difference to our stay. So welcoming on arrival, even showing us around our room and letting us know our options for room service, extras, etc. All staff members were very friendly, and approachable. Nothing seemed like it was too much trouble. The hotel is within walking distance of necessities and transport links. I would love to stay here again if I am visiting Edinburgh in the future. If you're in two minds about booking this place, I say do it - you won't regret it!

The Doghouse is a really cool place to stay, eat/drink and socialise. Ideally located within the city and close to the train station. Rooms were great, although attention to detail in some areas are required, overall a very good place to stay. We stayed on a B&B basis and I’d say if you haven’t got B&B as part of your booking you must have breakfast as it’s amazing - well worth the money and will keep you full all day. The little things like pick and mix, shower beer and is dog friendly (perfect in our eyes) made our stay memorable and fun. Will definitely return with our dog 🐶

The rooms are so unique! We had a room that had the bed upstairs and bathroom, living room space and full kitchen amenities downstairs. The staff is wonderful! We love the shower beer, use of guitar.. records available to play! This was our second time here.. and will definitely be back!

We had a great stay. We stayed in one of the suites and couldn’t fail the room or the staff in any way. The rooms were quiet and really unique, all the little touches were really appreciated.

Nice room, equiped very creative - even in details. The point that it is encapsulated into a brewery is explose everywhere even with a bit of humour. They also emphasise that everything is optimized to save carbon-emitment - a green building.

As mentioned by most reviewers excellent hotel. We only stayed for one 1 night but wouldn't hesitate to come back. Staff without exception were great, really polite and helpful and a credit to BREWDOG. Room spotlessly clean and amenities top notch. Cracking selection of beers, cocktails and a great breakfast. Teddy (our dog) thought it was great as well and loved his biscuits!

A delightful experience, conveniently located a short walk from the main train station, all staff were consistently kind, cheerful, and helpful, I felt welcome and appreciated at all times. The room was equipped with every detail a brew lover can ask. I loved that I could walk to the bar and get a BrewDog draft or just stop by the bar on the way into the room. The free breakfast was a treat, if you reuse your towel (if staying longer than 1 night) you get a free beer. The bluetooth speaker in the room, the acoustic guitar, the lighting, and loft layout of the suite were worthy of sharing with friends in social media. I would certainly stay in another of your hotel properties again, thank you BrewDog you are doing good work!

I can’t recommend this place enough! Huge rooms, free beer upon check in, complimentary breakfast was amazing. Overall great atmosphere. Room service was great as well. They were more than happy to hold our luggage for us our last day. A short walk to most attractions. This place is hands down the best bang for your buck. 10/10, 5 stars, amazing!

Great pre-Christmas break in The Doghouse
A really funky hotel with very friendly and efficient staff, the food is super and there’s a great selection of beers too. It’s also dog friendly if you wanted to bring your mutt! It’s located only a few minutes walk from The Royal Mile and Princes Street, so great for the Christmas Markets and all the key tourist attractions, as well as the tram/train from the airport. No doubt there’s cheaper hotels in Edinburgh but they’ll be just the usual ‘normal’ standard room, this place has great character is well worth a visit.

A fabulous experience
Great service, fabulous accommodation. Laid back and relaxing and definitely not pretentious. Everything has been thought about to make your stay brilliant from the umbrellas available when it’s raining to the pick and mix station for when you need a sugar rush. We couldn’t fault anything. Miko, Scott and all of the staff were lovely and were genuinely keen to make sure our stay was the best it could be. The bar has been set high for other hotels to reach. Would recommend it 100%

This place is probably one of the more unique stays I have had. I absolutely loved the decor and vibe. If you love beer this is the place for you. Staff was friendly and accommodating to all requests. 10/10 recommend.

I treated myself to this place for a night, was not disappointed, the staff were fantastic, the room was amazing with all the comforts above expectation. Food was lovely as was the beer

Great staff- room was not as expected.
The staff were great and the room was nicely appointed. However, it was over priced for the being one of the larger rooms. We have stayed at the Kennels in Aberdeen several times and they are better value to overall.
