"My girlfriend and I LOVED this place. It's not the Marriot or some chain, so it's a bit unique and has quirks, and that's why it's awesome. The room was small but comfortable, the bed very comfy. There was no TV in the room, which I really liked. Great shower. Outside there was a little deck with chairs so we could relax, listen to the Ausable River and look at the lovely grounds. There was also a restaurant area (closed while we were there) that we could sit in for meals or just to hang out....

"We’s been wanting to stay here for 30 years, and took a long weekend to do so. The Hotel was nice, clean, quiet and comfortable. We wanted to avoid Lake Placid due to the Can Am Rugby games and found this location perfect. It was close to Whiteface and its trails, close to alot of fishing spots, and had a clean pool and recliners to relax with at the end of an active day. "Loved how genuinely hospitable and real this lodging felt! Not to mention the warm and welcoming owner, the spectacular view of Whiteface mountain (so close that I felt that I could reach out and touch it), the majestic music on arrival, and the oodles of personality in every inch of it.......the likes of which is so missing in the cookie-cutter lodgings that we are so accustomed to! It is an experience to stay here and I am grateful for that experience. Can't wait to return. TY, Walter!! ...
