"What a hotel! Beautiful scenery, located on the golf course and over looking the sea. The hotel was very clean and staff were lovely and helpful. The hotel is walkable from the train station; however, I’d recommend booking a taxi in advance. Taxis in the town are very hard to come by. Hotel staff was very helpful is booking a taxi for us to return to the station. Bikes are available at the hotel to take into town which is very convenient. Hotel breakfast was fantastic."

"If you want to stay in a true castle in Scotland. This is the place. The decor is out of this world gorgeous. The rooms were clean and so pretty! The grounds were amazing with walking trails that included a foot bridge over a creek to a beautiful forrest trail. The staff were truly so kind and helpful. We had the breakfast and it was delicious. The pastries, hot breakfast, cereal, muffins, juices, bread and everything else were all so yummy. We absolutely loved our stay here. I cannot recommend enough."

"Greeted very warmly upon arrival, the room itself was spotlessly clean and fairly large with a very modern ensuite. The owner was very kind and personable. We really enjoyed staying here, the property is lovely and well maintained. The location is ideal, very closely located to shops, as well as the beach. The bus stop into the city centre is located right outside the property making it very easily accessible. Would definitely recommend others to stay here, thank you!"

The food was excellent especially the venison casserole with broccoli and then the chocolate chilli for dessert 🍨. Not forgetting the superb breakfast."

"I arrived very late. The staff were so friendly, and upgraded me from a single to a double room, I think because the single had gone to someone else. The bed was super comfy, I've never slept in a hotel room with such a comfy mattress before. The room was a bit run down, but clean enough. The breakfast was very basic, but good enough, and again the staff were very kind and helpful offering cups of tea or coffee. Very impressed for a two star hotel at the price I paid"
