"Upon our arrival, we contacted the number provided for check-in and experienced a confusing start to our stay. The staff appeared unfamiliar with our reservation and asked us several times to explain what we had booked, despite our presenting the confirmation. We were initially directed to a room where we were told the key would be waiting in the door, but no key was there. After another phone call, we were then escorted to a different room at the back of the building. The room itself was clean...

"The property was well situated with a large park opposite, a supermarket, multiple eating establishments and bus stops all within 5-10 minutes’ walk. With no reception, the property was supposed to email us 24 hours before check in with the building access code. It never arrived by email and I had to escalate to Expedia. The code eventually arrived via message in the Expedia app, only a few hours before we were due to check in. The room was large enough for three adults, but it had no air...

"Lovely room.some nice touchs but no milk! nice fridge to cool water in or can. beautifully decorated. Comfy bed. Down side felt slightly unsafe as no chain on door to room any key holder could of got in. Cleaning, last persons toothpaste and opened shower gets were still in place."

"The Abbotsford guest house was run down and in need of renovations. Did not know before I booked I would be sharing a shower and toilet with the whole floor. Very uncomfortable! There was also no breakfast available. It said it was being remodeled. I actually never saw a host on my visit. The location was good, but the lodging was poor."

"Warmed welcome by our host with a tour of public areas and our room with garden patio. Loved tea/coffee and snacks on offer at any time and delicious home made bread at breakfast. Stunning views from lounge and local path into Stirling meant no driving to dinner."
