Wonderful place to stay. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Gareth and Gina were great-they provided a great breakfast every morning- with vegan and GF options available. They were very knowledgeable about the area and just so friendly . The house is a few miles from anywhere and we benefited from amazing starry nights during our stay. Nothing to dislike about this beautiful place.
Fabulous hosts and really accommodating. Our day didn’t go exactly to plan and they were more than happy to delay our dinner a little bit.
Cream tea on arrival was lovely. The packed lunch made for us to take up Snowdon was just what we needed and the dinner on our return (although we were 20-30 minutes late) went down well.
After climbing a mountain, the bed was so comfortable and we slept so well.
We will definitely be going back.
It was perfect Gina and Gareth made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond for our stay. Our room was stunning and so comfortable and they even put a little anniversary banner and balloons up on arrival, The ground were stunning, their suggestions of where to go, see, how to get to places were so helpful. The food was beautiful, so fresh ,we definitely recommend the evening dining too. Gina's puddings are some of the best we have ever tasted. We definitely would stay again if we come back up this way. We would give 20 stars if could xxx
Had a really lovely warm welcome and throughout the stay from Gina and Gareth, the bed we stayed in was quite literally the comfiest ever and Gina was even so kind as to tell us where she got it so we could copy!
Beautiful location, surrounded by woodland and easy to get into Dolgellau.
The hotel itself is really peaceful and calming which is only made even better by the lovely hosts.
Thank you both!

We had a lovely stay for my Dad’s birthday. Gina and her husband were so kind and welcoming. The place itself is cute and quaint although quite far from main areas or things to do. The surrounding gardens are lovely.
The only gripe we had was that it wasn’t as clean as we hoped. Not to say it was dirty, but just not as clean as we’re used to. The sheets were musty but Gina kindly changed them after our first night when we mentioned it to her. Even the new sheets had a strong odour and my parents room had the same issue. Our room had a jet bath tub which we couldn’t use as the jets hadn’t been cleaned out and all sorts of bugs and spiders kept crawling up the drain and jets and into the bath. The bathroom also generally wasn’t completely clean. Luckily we could use the shower in the other rooms we had booked. To be fair, we didn’t mention the bathroom issues to the hosts.
Overall the issues with the rooms didn’t ruin the stay as Gina and her husband were so welcoming and Wales itself was beautiful.
We had a lovely two night stay. We booked only 48hrs before our visit so we had the last available room, which had a wonderful garden view and although it was smaller than we anticipated the fun of watching dozens of garden birds on the many bird feeders outside our door and also seeing tiny shrews playing and jumping in the late evening was wonderful. Breakfast was pre booked and excellent and our hosts happy to help at all times. We would definitely return.
We were given room 3, the rose room, for our 3 night stay at c£120 a night. The bathroom wasn’t in the room so we had to leave our room and go round the corner to a bathroom which was used as a shared bathroom even though all other guests had their own bathroom. We spoke with the owners who just said it happens.
I wouldn’t say they do room service, there is a number you can text but no menu, no wine allowed upstairs and they stop serving at 10pm. Myself and my other half aren’t big fans of B&B’s but the availability in the area was scarce and this one had lovely reviews. The nearest town is a 10 minute taxi drive, otherwise there is nothing within walking distance. On day 3 there was a leak which meant we couldn’t shower, guests were continuing to use our bathroom and make a mess of it then we were asked to clean it ourselves. We had to checkout 1 day early unfortunately due to my other half having to get back to his work last minute. We were charged full price despite the disruptions to the showers and bathrooms. The rooms were quite small given the cost, we were only given 2 tea bags (English breakfast) despite staying 3 nights which meant we ran out after our first evening and felt uncomfortable to ask as at times it did feel like we were bothering the owners. All in all I won’t be returning nor will I be staying at a B&B again. That said, Gina was lovely and the food was good.
Very friendly and welcoming hosts, quiet location. Only two minor irritations, firstly the room was smaller than we would have expected from a five star guest house, e.g. There's was nowhere to sit other than on the bed, secondly the door to our room could not be shut quietly which was important as we did not have an en-suite. However we have since been informed that we had the smallest room and should we go back we will book a different room. Dinner was good and the hosts made a special effort for my husbands birthday. Overall a lovely stay.
We had a very enjoyable overnight stay. Our host was wonderful and attentive. The room was delightful, spacious, clean, and well decorated. Our breakfast was made to order and tasty. The location is unique in a heavily wooded area and a short drive to a great Snodonia historic town, Dollegau. Our only concern was the poor quality of the beds, they need to be upgraded to match the wonderfulness of the property.
This was a great find. Ideally situated for what we wanted to achieve over the weekend.
A small family run Country House where we received superb personalised attention,
The room albeit fairly small, was nonetheless immaculate and well furnished and presented.
Great breakfast too!
This place has everything you could wish for in a country retreat. Exceptionally clean, beautiful scenery, waterfalls , streams and thats just the garden !!! Gina and Gareth are some of the nicest and interesting people i have ever met and are the best hosts you would wish to meet. The local knowledge they have to help you plan your day is exceptional. You feel at ease the minute you book in and always have time to chat and have a laugh. The house its self is so interesting and peaceful. The evening dinner is Gourmet standard that must be tried, the breakfast is a choose of so many options.I could keep writing about this place but the best thing to do is see for yourself i promise you will not be disappointed and like me and the other half cannot wait to return.
What can I say.....Awesome!
From the moment we arrived we were treated like the only people staying there, Gareth and Gina couldn't have been more informative or helpful.
The surrounding gardens and area are a walkers paradise, I especially loved the disused railway.
The recommendations for places to eat were spot on and although not everywhere was open because of it being between Christmas and New Year there was still plenty of choice. The Cross Foxes Fish and Chips were lovely, especially the minted peas!
Thanks again Gareth and Gina and hope to see you again, soon.
Totsiens! x
Very pretty stone building situated in 3 acres of beautiful gardens. Very tastefully appointed facilities mixing old style with new, giving a cosy feel. The service was excellent, with the owners/staff being very friendly & helpful; excellent breakfast also. The location is perfect for all the usual activities in Snowdonia.
