"Fantastic retreat, off the beaten track but worth it if you are after a quiet stay.
The hosts were excellent, lots of communication and available to help if you need anything. "

"Had a lovely stay in the Owl's Roost.
The hosts were so kind and couldn't have been more helpful. It was so peaceful being surrounded by fields. The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated, and the bed was comfy! The hosts even offered to provided a telescope to use for the clear nights, which was a very nice touch (we did bring our own) We will be returning again in the future."

"An absolutely incredible place to stay, with gorgeous river views and even a lake. We stayed in a barrel which was so comfortable, I really did not want to get out of bed!
The owner and others on the farm are kind, warming and helpful, and are clearly working hard to build an amazing space.
I just wish I could have stayed longer!"

"The yurt was very comfortable and warm. The wood burner provides an ample heat and there was a good supply of wood. The bed was comfortable. Parking is simple and close by. The yurt is very much off grid. The cooker works well with bottled gas. There is no running water. To take a shower involves boiling a giant kettle and carrying the water to the wooden outbuilding and mixing with cold rain water then using a solar powered shower pump. Was impressed that you can shower with surprisingly little...

"Bedrooms were a great size breakfast was very good and hot, the staff were exceptional. the plus side was the lift down to street level , had a wonderful stay in Torquay."
"Absolutely fantastic hotel with great staff. I think it’s my new favourite place to stay! Room was beautiful, spa was a really nice size with indoor and outdoor seating areas. The restaurant is really gorgeous with the most beautiful view of the sea. Food was great and reasonably priced and all the staff were friendly. We will definitely return."
"Great accessible room, with Sky TV.
Room has been recarpeted which makes it look much better.
Small table and chairs outside ground floor rooms which is great when good weather. Fridge, tea, coffee provided with 2 bottles of water which was much appreciated.
Staff were great, very helpful and polite.
I've given 5 stars but the 2 small down sides for is were
1) Bathroom was clean but has small bits of mould and paint coming off due to the moisture from the shower.
2) People in above rooms not respecting how noisy it would be below.
PLEASE do not let this put you off as it was a lovely 2 night break."
"Adult only hotel .parking was ok .The room was clean but standard for the price . Had robes and slippers, bottle of water and tea making facilities. Bed was very comfortable.
Staff were very polite throughout the hotel Higher management in the bar should be more active if mistakes are made and not wait for a complaint to be made.
The spa was really lovely, but had just too many people and we had to sit on the floor with drinks , which wasn’t relaxing.Needs a bigger sitting area or even shelves to put drinks on .
We tried the spa again early in the morning which was much better and quieter . Pool was a nice temperature
Treatments were nice and staff were very friendly. Noisy floorboards above kind of spoils the relaxing music. For what we paid, everything was really expensive ."
"Had a lovely stay. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. All our queries were dealt with very promptly. Great gym, pool and spa pool (we didn't use sauna but it looked good). Large variety at breakfast; Continental and cooked. We booked a family room as 2 adults and one child. We had two rooms and a bathroom. We had a large amount of space. Only one negative was that there was a lack of plug sockets to charge phone/watch and use hair dryer. But this was only a very minor inconvenience. We will definitely return."
