The Hotel had a nice cosy feel to it. There was not much help with the baggage though & as we had a loft room some of us (older people)found it difficult to carry the cases as there were a few steps & no lifts.The breakfast was of very good quality & the rooms were really nice. People were helpful. However there was a book of things we should not do for example it was strictly forbidden to use the fridge (mini bar)for personal use. This is our second visit to Opera Relais de Charme and it's been another full ratings visit. The appartment is so close to the main points of interest. Also in a restriced area for most car traffic. We used the train to visit Lake Garda and with an all day ticket travelled via hyrofoil to explore many towns. Take to the mountains via cable car. Look down from 1,790 metres to the lake. The view from room 602 (Mini-Suite) was jaw dropping and enhanced by the cloudless blue sky, mill pond view of the lake and a backdrop of the mountains with snow caps. From the start the staff are very friendly! They made an effort to remember your room number after recognising you. I liked that they ask you to hand in your room key when you go out. Saves you losing it. The room was very nice, the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The blackout curtains worked a treat. The bathroom was huge and every amenities you could need was available. Beautiful hotel & it's in a great location for Rialto Bridge & St Mark's Square so we would highly recommend. There is a free shuttle bus/water taxi from hotel pier that takes you to Murano where you are shown how they make the Murano glass. You are then shown round a very beautiful but expensive showroom. Superb stay for my husband’s 50th. Service excellent, friendly and professional. Staff totally surprised us with a birthday cake, candle and prosecco at breakfast- thank you. Garden a beautiful retreat and a real bonus. We will definitely return.

Fabulous stay in apartment full of character and history right in the heart of Rome . Such a lovely hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The views of Sorrento are stunning. The Hotel Restaurant food was superb the best food we have ever had in a hotel Restaurant. We used the hotel shuttle bus which was so reliable and quick into Sorrento town. You can walk into town which only took about 15 minutes.
