"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

It took messaging Expedia to get a new number and the owner did not answer that number. He did respond to Expedia and finally reached out on WhatsApp. They came and cleaned while we were waiting to enter. The pictures on the listing are from probably 10 years ago - the home needs some repairs and maintenance. Faucets are loose, no hot water in the downstairs...
