"I always stay at the Lockkeeper when I'm up visiting family. It's clean, comfortable with plenty of parking and excellent wi-fi (I worked from the hotel one day, including video calls). The staff are always welcoming and friendly and I often eat at the pub when I stay. It would be good to have an ashtray by the hotel, the only ashtrays are currently in front of the pub."

"Wonderful stay - beautiful building and grounds and very helpful and pleasant staff who make you most welcome. Its wonderful that such a historical building is being saved for future generations to enjoy - local walks are lovely, and interesting to see the original buildings of the estate - ie Forge, Coach house, Farm, Barns etc still in use as delightfully renovated properties. If you play golf its an added bonus - golf course is amazing!!"

"Great hotel and everything about it is spot couldn’t put a hotel in a better place for amenities whether it’s a drink some food or a bit of shopping I never had the breakfast this time round as last time I was disappointed as there was no beans and no bacon but I’m sure it’s improved but generally apart from the breakfast the hotel I could not recommend more nice touches with the pringles and chocolate bar in the fridge "

"this hotel is a little surprise. Doesn’t look much from the outside and not helped by being next to a disused building. However, once you enter it is a very different experience. The hotel is lovely, well maintained and the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. We had a family room which was very good, though could do with some better quality bed linen.
