"Sao Miguel is small enough that you can choose one accommodation centrally located and drive the whole island. Verde Mar and Spa offers ocean views overlooking a beautiful surf beach. Included breakfast is great and in house dining is convenient after a day of touring the island. Ribeira Grande is quaint without the urban cluster of P. Delgado. The 20 minute drive to the north side of the island is certainly worth it."

And parking every hotel I've been to offer free parking and this hotel was expensive in my opinion it should be included. But other than that was very good."

"Terra Nostra Garden Hotel is located on the absolutely stunning Terra Nostra Park. Guests have this park to themselves before the park opens and after it closes. "Overall a very nice hotel. The restaurant and breakfast were well above average. Staff was extremely pleasant, helpful and accommodating. A big issue for us was the bathroom. The shower walls were made of wood which were molding all around the bottom due to moisture, this was not something I would expect from a hotel of this caliber.
