"The room was relatively clean. The outside and lobby is pretty gross. They are supposedly renovating at least that’s what the sign said as to why they aren’t offering breakfast even though on the site it is advertised. I didn’t see any signs of renovation though. I was given a bath mat for a towel and 2 conditioners and no shampoo, which I didn’t realize till I was in the shower. If your looking at price only, then it is what it is. I don’t think I’m staying here again. I’ll spend more and get something more than a bed"

"We had a wonderful stay at Vistalmar Beach Resort in Deerfield Beach. The location is fantastic, just steps from the beach, and easy access to restaurants and shops. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The pool area was relaxing and perfect for enjoying the Florida sunshine. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway"

"Perhaps it's just me, but I thought the Double Tree brand was considered 4 stars? The lobby and surrounding area, as with most hotels, was updated and clean. However, the bathroom ceiling in our room had water damage and cracks. The bathroom only had one light switch. No exhaust fan, no separate dim light for late night bathroom goers, and the faucet only allowed for a quarter inch difference between cool water and boiling hot. The door to the room had a significant gap underneath, which allowed for hallway light to enter the room. We had to put our luggage down to block the light to allow the kids to sleep. It just wasn't all that much different from the Hampton Inn. Good location though, friendly staff, and convenient location. Howard, our server at breakfast (included in the price btw, very nice) was great. Breakfast was very good, much better then what you'd get at the Hampton Inn."

"Pool dirty can't use, washing machine app went to another site and took out my money so I had to cancel card for fraud. Mostly troubling was the room smelt of epoxy because they tried to paint the bathtub. We could only use the toilet in the bathroom. Had to wash our face and brush teeth in the kitchen. No place to have a shower from Friday thru Sunday. We both had awful headaches and were nauseous due to the chemicals used. They offered us to go to Boca but we had plans in Deerfield and were not going to a $80 room, 5 minutes from where we live, when we were in an apartment at $133!. They said we could have a refund of $21. This is outrageous and a massive health hazard.. It looks very bad on Hotels.com also for allowing this service and treatment of who are basically your guests. In fact epoxy can cause massive issues as noted on health websites. 'Inhaling epoxy resin fumes can be dangerous, potentially causing respiratory irritation, headaches, and chemical sensitization. I don't think we should be charged the whole amount for this stay. It was not what was advertised and with the conditions being so bad we feel we should be credited for the stay or at least one day of the stay. What LowL have offered is basically insulting"
