"The standing of this hotel which claims, boasts and advertises as luxurious was really disappointing. Premises are ageing, amenities and food offer very basic and the standards of both cleanliness and comfort not really satisfying."

"ジェフリーバワの設計した伝説のホテルに泊まれ、またインフィニティプールで泳げたのは良い経験でした。津波災害を受けたことでも知られますが、設備は古さを感じさせず、何よりスタッフのホスピタリティに感激しました。"

"Fantastic beach front location with great views. Rooms and common areas very good standard and staff very helpful and hospitable. Lovely free perks in addition including afternoon tea/ cakes and drinks (gin/tonic, wine and beer) from 5-6pm. Food outstanding."

"This hotel is situated on a beautiful private property, with a lovely garden and private beach with rock pools! Food - especially Sri Lankan food - was fantastic! The staff also made sure they did everything to make our stay a lovely one. But sadly, the place wasn’t up to standard. Rooms, toilets and surrounding areas looked worn down. "There isn’t much close by just the beach and huge amazing pool. Wish there were more shops"

"Very nice to stay! Highly recommend."

"The main restaurant has no AC or fans."

"Property has very spacious rooms and well maintained. Lovely Beach location although waves rough at this time. Food overall quality, very tasty and well presented. Staff very personable ,attentive and seeking to offer service especially Assistant Manager Siri, Dilen and Nilanga."

"This was our 2nd stay at the Asian Jewel. Our return was based on our previous experience which was lovely staff, good food, clean and spacious room. The location is out of town but was easy/cheap to get tuk tuks and being situated next to the lagoon allowed us to see lots of beautiful birds from our balcony. Would recommend and hope to return again."

"We enjoyed quietness of the location even though it is close to get to Hikkadua. Love to sit at the pool and seeing all the rice paddies. The owner tried very hard to make us feel comfortable and did a great job! "
