The location is beautiful, peaceful and quiet and is the perfect place to stay for making day trips to visit all the sights in the Highlands. Steve and Diane were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. The eggs Benedict for breakfast was excellent.

"We stayed while walking the Great Glen Way, and it is right on the route. It is a large friendly hostel. Our room had two sets of very comfortable bunk beds. "
"The Lovat at Loch Ness is a charming and stylish lakeside hotel. The property has two lovely lounges, even a grand piano, and is equipped with an elevator — a thoughtful touch. Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight: besides the classic Highland Breakfast, we tried the Kedgeree (smoked haddock with curried rice and poached egg), which was absolutely delicious and a wonderful Scottish surprise.

"Room, restaurant / bar and staff were great.We had a late check-in and we’d notified the hotel ahead of time so everything went smoothly. Please note there’s no check-in after 10p though so plan accordingly.
The food was top notch and the location is central to a lot of great spots in the Highlands. Pitlochry is a nice stop too when coming up from Edinburgh.
