"Conveniently near a dock for the ferry to Venice which is €13 per person (return). Has a nice pool, so on hot days can be nice to chill. LOTS OF MOSQUITOS. Me and my partner were covered by them. "This our third visit to Excelsior, it is a lovely hotel, with friendly helpful staff, the boat ride into Venice is a real plus. Breakfast is exceptional, nice swimming pool. "For those that gave bad reviews- it is an old building on a humid location people! The service was great, my room was everything I could have wanted, clean, quiet, comfortable. I would maybe update the cover that made it look a little older but that’s about it. Breakfast service was more extensive than I expected! I would stay here for sure!"
