"Had a nice stay here over the weekend! The staff is very friendly and quickly accommodating to any needs. The lodge is tucked away in a quiet, but not too secluded spot, so it’s very easy to find, yet is in a safe area & away from any busy traffic. The highway is just up the road, but the road noise gets muffled a bit by the forest between - very nice! I’ll stay here again for sure if I’m in the area."

"This is a recently renovated Gold Rush era hotel, very quaint and authentic. The rooms and bathrooms have been updated to modern standards which is nice, but have authentic period decor/antiques. The town is VERY small and cute, extremely quiet (in general) and a walkable historic self-guided tour. It makes a great base of operations for exploring the area. A couple of things to know: it is 3 story, but because of the age, there is no elevator (typical with Gold Rush era hotels). They have one...

"We booked the top floor because it has that attic, Harry Potter feeling. OMG! It is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The room is so beautiful. We felt like we were living in Harry Potter's house, minus where Harry really lived in. Our only wish is that we can live in a place like this permanently. Our kids loved it. It really has that Precious Moments cottage feeling. For me, it really reminded me of the hostel we stayed in Frankfurt, Germany and Britain. The couple that are...
