The room was missing ALL of the amenities, no clean towels, room smelled like mildew and mold! The hotel is named as the Halsted Inn but described on here as the comfort inn!!

Property is advertised as a Comfort Inn, but is actually undergoing the transformation of becoming a Comfort Inn. It is still very much so operating as a motel on the south side of Chicago. Be safe.

Never stay here!

That place needs to be shut down. I left after being there a couple hours. It was filthy the sheets were nasty bathroom nasty and the staff could care less. They are renovating or sold it to another company they should close until ready.

I am writing regarding my recent stay in Chicago under itinerary number 72074410384559. Unfortunately, my experience at the hotel was very disappointing, and I would like to request a refund, reimbursement, or appropriate compensation for the inconvenience caused. Firstly, after traveling from Canada on a 10-hour drive, we arrived at the hotel and found that our room was not ready. We had to wait approximately 30 minutes while the room was being cleaned. During this time, we also noticed a very bad smell coming from the lobby area, and the overall hygiene and cleanliness of the hotel did not seem properly maintained. It appeared that sanitation standards were not being followed adequately. Secondly, I spoke with the hotel manager and requested another room. Although another room was eventually provided, the floor was still dusty and not cleaned properly, which made the stay uncomfortable. Lastly, the shower water pressure in the room was very poor and not functioning properly, adding further inconvenience during our stay. Considering all these issues, I kindly request that you review my case and provide a refund, reimbursement, or some form of compensation for the poor experience. I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Was not aware by the photos that this is in a terrible area and that it is currently being remodeled. Knew as soon as we walked in with the full bag of chips just scattered across the couch in the lobby and the scratched up doors and walls everywhere this was not a decent hotel.

Both rooms smelled like cigarette smoke and neither were cleaned. Including a filthy toilet. Filthy floor and dirty cigarette burned comforters. I have photos. Do NOT stay here. It’s also not even a comfort inn yet and so we got duped into selecting it by reputation but it’s another hotel altogether and the management lies.

It was horrible. Tomorrow will be a week and I still have not received my $100 incidental fee back. The hotel is going through major construction. Mattresses were all in the hall on the first floor. Front door was wide open at 10 pm at night. I will stay here in the future.

Dump of a place

Property was under construction and they didn't even have the room I booked, they proceeded to tell me I could upgrade for an extra $20. He gave us a kry to see the room and when we rounded the corner there were a ton of beds in the hallway and the place was filthy. We told them to refund our money and booked a new room in Tinley Park.
