"Fully stocked kitchen, they thought of all the little things. Host was friendly and showed us where everything was. There are only a few cabins/lodges on the property so it's quiet and peaceful. The pool is small but perfect for cooling off and getting some sun. We even made use of the full-size BBQ by the pool one night. "When I made the reservation I thought we were at the main lodge and not at the camp. Of course the property is beautiful Accommodations were nice beds very comfortable , staff and was great but having to get up to walk to the bathroom was not fun for me so in the future when I book I will be making sure I’m at the main lodge. I think the camp is great for backpackers and those on a budget. "

"A family run jungle paradise close to many activities. The birds in the area are definitely the main highlight to this property and the staff know it. In fact it is obvious that they did not overdevelop this land to keep the local wildlife happy and close by. "We had hoped this place would be more like a jungle lodge but it really was more of a rural neighborhood house on the main thoroughfare. The family cabin seemed a lot more like a blah Airbnb. Wasn't too clean but wasn't disgustingly dirty. Just didn't feel like it was worth the amount we paid or really worth it at all. You could not walk to monkey falls from there. "Our stay was perfect as a morning launching pad and evening landing pad for our San Ignacio adventures. The staff were very kind and friendly, the breakfast buffet was excellent, and the hammock on the deck of our cabana was highly utilized at the end of our long days. The hotel was a short walk from the town of San Ignacio where we were able to get delicious food from vendors, and right next door to Cahal Pech Archeological Reserve. "

"Calico Jacks is a bit outside San Ignacio so you definitely need a vehicle but the room was really cleaned and comfortable. I stayed for only one night so I haven’t used the pool or tried the zipline but the food at the restaurant onsite and the staff were amazing. Julio was my server and my guide the morning after to visit Barton Creek’s caves and he made sure I had a wonderful time."
