"I cannot speak highly enough of this Hotel. Our stay was enhanced by the ambience, the welcome we received and the service was exceptional. "We stayed here for one night after a day in Winchester. A nice enough hotel, with staff pleasant enough. The room we stayed in was small but well kept. The main issue we had was that the room was that next to a staff run through, meaning doors were slammed constantly. Further, there was no air conditioning, and the room we were in at the bottom floor was next to a busy beer table and had lots and lots of mosquitoes, meaning we were bitten to heck! I’d personally avoid this place and find an...

"We had a lovely stay. Andrew was a great host and showed us everything we needed. The bar was humming and our dinner was fabulous. We had a great nights sleep. The renovated bathroom was excellent and had a nice big shower. Room 2 was lovely overall. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.. Overall we had a lovely overnight stay at the Cricketers Inn and would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area. "

"Stayed for one night. Had an evening meal and breakfast the following morning. The food was excellent value for money. The breakfast buffet choices were amazing. We stay here every year on our way to Portugal. Just love the place. We took our two dogs with us. The staff are very friendly and really helpful."

"I expect that no one from Expedia had visited this 'hotel' basically a pub with four rooms. They were tired, decoration poor, carpets grubby, toilet was noisy (Macerator) no breakfast options at all and very expensive, £95 per room!"

"We had a lovely stay and were made to feel extremely welcome. The room was very clean, modern and comfortable. Walking distance from town and close to multi-storey carpark, which was useful. There was a great selection for breakfast and it was possible to choose what you wanted for a cooked breakfast. Fantastic, quirky stay with mugshots of criminals lining the walls and prison doors into rooms. Would definitely stay again"
