Very old hotel that looks a little tired but it was clean and in an amazing position within the town. Parked in the ncp car park and with a code provided by the hotel we only paid £16 for 48 hours.

Great location for every event. Nearby car park and staff were very helpful and accommodating. A little bit dated but cannot go wrong for the money and location!

Stayed for the humanist convention at the university. It was just a short walk away through pleasant surroundings. Hotel was in a great location and had great friendly staff and a good breakfast 👌

An overnight stay to meet friends in the city centre for a meal and drinks. On entering this classic hotel you have a large bright airy reception to your left and a sweeping staircase facing you. There is a bar area, restaurant and seating area. Staff were friendly and welcoming and check in was quick. Our room on the first floor was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. Theclean bathroom had an overbath shower which was easy to use and an ideal temperature. Breakfast buffet had traditional and continental on offer and was plentiful. Our checkout was seamless and again staff were friendly. This was a first visit to a hotel I have seen since childhood and thought was out of my league with its red brick classic facade and opulent looking inner. Having stayed at long last I am eagerly awaiting a future stay. An ideal hotel for visiting Cardiff and all it has to offer
