"Property was suffering beach erosion after the winter and early storms on the Oceanside. But spectacular view from room and deck on the Oceanside. We should have asked them for a regular coffee pot. Very disappointed that the hot tub was not even warm. We went for beach horseback ride and for 62 yo we sure could have used it. Mgmt tried to get propane for hot tub . But just couldn’t. "

"The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean enough. but the floor was dusty. I still don't get why Americans wear shoes in the room. There was also an already drunk water bottle in the fridge. The price was great for the room. We got a room in the courtyard, not the one near the ocean. The TV screen was big. The room in general was well equipped and maintained. The AC was new. The ice machine was in a walking distance."

"I have stayed here many times in the past and always enjoyed the experience. However, this past trip, we returned from an all day offshore fishing trip to find our room door wide open. Unsettling to say the least (fortunately nothing was missing from the room). After looking around, it seemed like the housekeeper finished half of their duties and walked out (i.e., the beds were made and towels replaced but trash remained on the coffee maker counter, nothing was wiped off and amenities were not...

"Our 2nd floor room was beachfront. The Nags Head Outlet was within walking distance as well as a huge "beach" store. The Sea Foam is an older historical motel that was recently sold. Yes, it is in need of repair and updating, however, it was clean, the beds were comfortable, and decent water pressure. It fit our needs. Word is that the new owners have big plans."

"Our room had pretty textured walls and beautiful artwork. The furnishings were also high quality. Its a 3 minute walk to the beach, and within a few minutes drive of a mini-mart, ice cream place, and some restaurants. I couldn't figure out when checkout time was, but another guest told me 11am. Also the doors have # codes on them so you can check in without seeing anyone. But the insides of the doors don't have slide locks, so we were worried about someone being able to enter if they found out...

"Staff were friendly and very welcoming. We found a few maintenance things that they sprung into action to take care of. We were in a suite with a sitting room. The room was quaint and offered a wonderful outdoor porch. The only con to our stay is how uncomfortable the bed was. It was hard and spring filled which kept us tossing most the night with lack of comfort. We left before breakfast, so we aren’t sure how that was, but it smelled good!
