"Lovely staff in an old beautiful building. The breakfast was great and the room was cosy and clean but a little on the colder side. Unfortunately we were directly above the function room which had a party on the Saturday day. The music was so loud that the furniture was vibrating. I should have requested a quiet room upon booking. I wouldn't let it put me off booking again"

"I needed a place to stay for one night after an evening event in Scunthorpe. Gary and Sue were welcoming and most accommodating to my need for a late evening return. Good clean room with iron and tea made available. Well worth the money."

"According to my son and his mate who had travelled from Oxfordshire for a football match the accommodation was everything that was described. The host was super friendly and even took the boys into Grimsby the next morning after my son had lost his car keys at the match 😩 "

"We had a lovely stay overall and would definitely come back. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the staff were really friendly and welcoming, and the food was great. Breakfast was especially gorgeous and a real highlight. There were just a few things that took the shine off a little. The toilet wasn’t as clean as we’d have expected, and the bath drain seemed blocked, so the water backed up while we were standing in the shower. "Bed was really soft and the room was obviously a smoking room at some point as there was that stale old tobacco smell in the room that made getting to sleep difficult"

"The good bits ,Arrived and check in was fine, Staff are friendly, room clean and tidy. Bad bits - reception didn't tell us breakfast finished at 9.30am and so on Sunday we missed it, as went down at 9.45am, I have never stayed anywhere were breakfast finishes so early. Saturday night meal, was OK, but restaurant ran out of Halloumi fries so had to chose alternative. Ordered Fish cakes for main, only one on the plate, says cakes not cake on the menu (sorry that's picky, but still) Ordered...
