"Second time staying at The Old House visiting nearby family and attractions. We will return as comfortable clean accomodation and really good walk in shower with taps outside the shower which is great. Staff very friendly and helpful . A few minor things were that there wasn't an information book in our room although we didn't really need one. Also glasses left on tables overnight and there were cigarette butt's on the floor and steps and broken garden lamps. Simple things that could be...

"A delightful stay. The staff were welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. The room was perfect for 2 nights and the bed was extremely comfortable. The room was perfectly clean with fresh bed linen and towels. A marvelous stay. Highly recommended and would stay here again."

"Absolutely lovely place - bedroom was great - clean and had everything you would need at an amazing price. Cannot complain about the room at all. Only had a little niggle with the food as one of our meals wasn’t great but the other fine! Staff were lovely but busy."

"The bar area and restaurant were very nice although we ate in the restaurant on our first night and the food was good but we felt rushed and I ordered a glass of rose which was warm. We felt the bedrooms were very outdated, the beds were very hard, lumpy and too low. The lighting in the bedroom by the desk/dressing table was non existent. The room was cleaned but we were not given any toilet roll."

Staff mostly foreign and not speaking or understanding basic requests. Rooms are basic, beds and pillows are not very comfortable. Bathroom shower was good, both hot and with good pressure. "Unfortunately a previous guest must have been smoking in our room and so the room was not comfortable to sleep on. It was more of an overnight stay place than a longer holiday choice as the room was fairly small."
