"The little cottages are a treat to stay in. The owner is friendly
You need to bring evening meal food, but breakfast is very good if you order and pay for it. A great base for visiting Snaefelsnes Peninsular."
"We had a family room which doesn’t afford much privacy and there’s not much to do around here Hótel itself. But it was nice, clean, and the breakfast was amazing."
"We had a great stay here, mainly because we got in early and were able to make full use of the free washing machine and dryer (you have to bring your own detergent though), as well as the kitchen. There were not many pots/pans provided in the kitchen, so had there been more people, this could have been frustrating, but that was not our experience. We also note that they seem to have added more hot plates based on advice in the reviews.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, a kettle, a microwave, and hot plates, as well as most necessary utensils to make a simple meal.
There were plenty of bathrooms, though note that these are all on one side of the building. They also smell a bit weird, but we think that's just the Iceland water. There is one washing machine and one dryer, but we used both and had no issues.
The soundproofing between the rooms and the main lounge was really good—we couldn't hear quite a large, loud group at night time and were shocked when we went there in the evening and noted that they were all chatting. The soundproofing to the hallway from the rooms wasn't as great though.
The bedroom and common area were clean and in good condition. The bunkbed was a bit squeaky, but the beds were comfortable."
"Stefan and everyone else on the team were amazingly helpful and supportive! Loved the adventure of staying in the capsules on the night before the total solar eclipse in Iceland ... there was so much energy in everyone staying there ..."
"Very nice place. The use of the swimming pool and hot tubs was a real bonus and nice rest and games rooms available. our only issues were the small shower with a shower curtain that wouldn’t leave you alone when having a shower! Others had a bigger bathroom area. Breakfast was good and plenty full but the evening meals were a let down to be honest, the same choice every evening and nothing interesting to choose."
"We stayed at Kria, and the view was absolutely incredible\. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by unspoiled nature.
The place had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I only regret that I didn’t get the chance to enjoy the hot pot because of the strong wind and cold temperatures.
It would be a perfect location for viewing the Northern Lights. I can only imagine how magical the experience must be on a clear night!!
Thank you, Esther."
"Very charming lodge off the beaten path with a lovely waterfall trail right behind it. The rooms were generous in size and very clean. The reception area was nice and the staff were very friendly. Loved our stay here."
