"The Rufugio del Mar was a beautiful property. We stayed in building 2 which only had 7 units. They all had their own kitchen and bedroom/s. The staff were super friendly and the pool and gardens were immaculate. I would recommend staying on the second floor if possible as the lower units can be a little dark and do absorb a bit of noise from the above units. "Have been here several times. New ownership. Not as much variety in food, however, tasty. Very difficult to get into Ala Cart dinners at speciality restaurants. Wish they provided hot water with the coffee in the AM for tea drinkers. Current owners changing the colorful buildings into a draub taupe color. Staff great. Grounds and rooms well maintained."
