"This older home was well maintained and comfy. It was close to the centre of Banbury and down the hill to Banbury Cross and the statue of the lady on the horse. Breakfast is included and there is a wide range of cold or hot meal options; there is a kettle in the room with tea bag’s and coffee packs with sugar and UHT milk made it easy to have a hot drink in your room early morning or in the evening. "Room was dirty, scuffed paintwork, stained carpet, skirting boards thick with grime and dust, cobwebs and dead bugs (in the cobwebs) on the ceiling. Not to mention the previous guests dirty towels and sheets were left in a heap in the middle of the floor. At £200 per night excluding breakfast I expect much much better. Very disappointing."

"Delightful accommodation in a beautiful village pub. As a family of three, we stayed in the Superior Suite, Room 4. Our window view was a charming old church. Room/linen was spotless, towels were hotel quality, powerful shower, comfy beds, amazing cooked breakfast and kind hosts. No pub noise and we stayed on a Fri and Sat night. It's very quiet. "The room itself was spacious and clean. The pub was great loads of drink selection and the staff were all friendly and super helpful. Our only negative was weather related. The fan in the room didn't help with the heat at all. We had to keep the window open to try and cool the room. On the Saturday it was fine, however on the Friday the noise went on until around 1am from the pub garden. "Staff was incredibly accommodating and kind. The location is a bit further out which means you should plan travel accordingly. The rooms were clean and the staff gave you all the information you needed if you had to contact them."

"The hotel is situated in the beautiful village of Wroxton with many thatched properties. The staff, although mostly young people could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The full English breakfast was excellent, especially the sausages which I suspect may well have been sourced locally.
