"This is not walking distance from the Manchester airport. Just a heads up. Shuttle was not running & I found out that it only runs a few hours very early mornings. So just be prepared to spend 15 to 20 pounds for a taxi ride. With that said, great place. Needed a place to stay for about 10 hours to get a shower and nap before my next leg of an overseas flight. "The property itself was lovely. However, during my two day stay, the water temperature in my room's en suite bathroom was cold, and then tepid, both for the basin and shower. The shower water pressure was also very poor. Finally, I had early starts on both mornings, and the fire alarm went off in my bedroom due to "steam" from the bathroom. "Our stay was a journey down memory lane for me. The hotel was still lovely and popular, the room was clean and albeit small as a twin, it was in keeping with such a historic building and the lady on the bar, who checked us in couldn’t be more welcoming. The kitchen even catered amazingly for a veggie and a vegan option breakfast. The hotel is centrally located for the beautiful village of Eyam’s history trail, tea rooms and local walks with good parking facilities. "
