White Hart Hotel by Greene King Inns

8/10 Good

"They need to have more staff and just come up with an excuse it’s busy, breakfast on Sunday morning 16 people in the restaurant and we had to wait over 20 mins to be asked what we would like, upon questioning if all was ok why we had not been asked I was met with attitude from the manager and the excuse they were busy, clearly under staffed and just 2 running the restaurant, after complaining have this negative response we waited a further 15 mins before being asked, my wife at this stage giving up and making good with toast! Not what we paid for! £226 paid for 2 nights over £250 spent at the bar and food and me complaining is unacceptable as they are busy. Plus side food was good, tea and coffee needs addressing as using flasks and not hot water and also jugs of milk running out and again people waiting to use this."

The Blue Boar - Maldon

8/10 Good

"Excellent staff. Good breakfast. Our room was very small, but adequate for one night. Very good bathroom. Poor window adjustment. Shabby exterior - rotting window frames. A very characterful hotel. Good parking facilities."

The White Horse

10/10 Excellent

"Wonderful experience. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Kept me company whilst on my business trip. Food was outstanding and the room was so lovely and clean. The bed was a big win as it was very comfy. Can’t wait for my next trip that way so I can stay again."

Rivenhall End Hotel

"Comfy bed, nice big shower, welcoming and helpful staff. For a short cheap night stay after a wedding, it was everything I needed."
