"The property is timber framed and old, really old. Cleanliness and condition is very good but this building needs constant maintenance. We loved it, it’s very old and full of history. "Considering this is a bed and breakfast establishment, it is excellent. We stayed in a twin room and the beds were very comfortable, with good quality bedding. Good shower, with rain head and normal head, towels were plentiful and soft. All very clean. We did not have breakfast, but the room looked well appointed. Large lounge and reception areas, with a billiard table in one room. All the staff were lovely."

"The rooms are not in the main building, they are what I can only describe as motel type rooms in a couple of blocks. We had a 1st floor room the window only opened an inch and there was no A/C, didn't get a lot of sleep at the weather therefore the room was baking hot. Lovely grounds to walk round and the breakfast was good in a really nice setting."

"While this facility had a lot of high level amenities like and Elemis spa, squash court etc, they fall far short of acceptable in basic room accommodations. We specifically made sure the hotel had Air conditioning before booking and when we arrived confirmed again because the lobby was so hot. Even so, they checked us into a room they KNEW the air conditioning wasn’t working (they had put a fan in the room). "The room had everything you need but wasn’t clean and they don’t clean during your stay either. You can get new towels from reception, but no one is coming to get your previous wet/used ones. Reception desk is impressive and the 2 girls were smiley and attentive. Bathroom was ok but looking very tired. Shower was good and powerful. Parking is easy and the golf course looks good. For the price it wasn’t great value. We might stay again if we can’t find anything better, for the next Goodwood...

We needed three rooms, and staff had arranged that they were three adjacent rooms, which was good. "A good hotel with helpful staff. Breakfast buffet good. Crazy practice of charging hotel guests to park but that seems to be a growing trend. Be honest and include the charge in the hotel costs instead of hiding additional costs."
