Boutiquehotel Staats

Oude Stad

10/10 Excellent

The hotel was located very close to the train and bus station in a nice quiet street. It was about a 10 minute walk to city centre. The hotel was nicely decorated, very very clean and a delight to stay in. Breakfast was good, dinner was on the small side but good. The only thing we didn’t like was the lighting- we found the room quite dark and it was difficult to read in. The staff went above and beyond to answer any of our queries- they were superb and all was done with a smile. We would...

Carlton Square Hotel

Kleine Hout

10/10 Excellent

There's a fair few choices between hotels in Haarlem. While I can't compare to any others, I can wholeheartedly recommend Carlton Square. If you're not familiar with Haarlem and are looking at Carlton Square's location on a map, it looks to be somewhat outside the city centre. But don't be fooled! It's really a very short walk to the main square (Grote Markt) and everything else in town. And it's a pleasant walk too. The main street that leads to the centre is Grote Houtstraat, which is full...

Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant De Oude Gevangenis - Alkmaar

Alkmaar

10/10 Excellent

Staying at this hotel was an incredible and unique experience! The way the old prison has been transformed into a modern hotel is absolutely brilliant. The historic atmosphere is preserved perfectly, and the clean rooms are very comfortable. The staff is clearly understaffed and overwhelmed with duties, but they work incredibly hard and do their absolute best to keep the atmosphere and everything else perfect. Both the breakfast and parking options were excellent. Highly recommended!

A modern restaurant interior with round tables, yellow and black chairs, and hanging pendant lights.

ibis Styles Haarlem City

De Krim

10/10 Excellent

The room was clean. The beds are comfortable and you don't hear other people. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating when we asked if we could store our things for a few hours after checkout. The road is a little noisy when the window is open but you can use the aircon to keep the room cool. The window also has an outside blind which can be put down. Short distance to Haarlem centre.

A beach with a sandy shore and a few buildings in the background.

Beach Hotel Zandvoort BY Center Parcs

Zandvoort

10/10 Excellent

We had a lovely time in Zandvoort. The hotel was in a perfect location; next to the beach, near the centre parc activities, 5 min walk to train station, a walk to the centre and near the F1. The room was spacious and clean. There was lots of choice at breakfast. All staff we spoke to were friendly. Having the centre parc activities, meant that our child was never bored. We enjoyed much there was to offer like the swimming pool, mini golf, bike gire, mini football pitch. Trains ran every 30 mins...
