"The staff was very helpful when I change my stay from 3 night to 2 nights. They also were nice enough to change me from a 2nd floor room to the first floor when they found out that I was having a knee replacement. The ebening after my surgery my sister went to the Bar/Restaurant and was able to get us someting to eat which was very good. "The hotel is situated in a good location. There is a few restaurants within walking distance. The beds are comfortable and the staff is very helpful. My only complain is that there is no free coffee in the lobby. It is nice that they have it in the room but if the housekeeping doesn't clean your room you have to refill on the coffee or cups. Thank for the two bottles of water in the room."

"There was no one at the front desk when I arrived. I waited for about 10 minutes for the receptionist to arrive. My door handle to my room didn’t work well, had to push it up instead of down to open the door, then the door stuck so you practically had to body slam it to get it open. The desk had a slight coat of dust on it. The “breakfast” consisted of small store bought prepackaged donuts, granola bars and apples along with vending machine style coffee. Not worth my money to stay there. "

"Driving from Michigan to New Hampshire I was looking for a convenient, affordable place to stop for the night. Located right off the NY Thruway in Utica, this was the perfect place. Clean, cheap, and quiet. Discovering Willie’s Bagel Cafe at the motel entrance was a bonus! The veggie omelette and fresh coffee were the fuel I needed to get back on the road. Be sure to go early, they get busy around 8."

"The surrounding area looks economically depressed and we had some initial concerns about safety. Check in was easy. We were provided with two keys for the front door and room door. The house is well maintained and in keeping with original design. We stayed in the wine and roses room which is next door to the kitchen. If you like to sleep in, this is not the room for you due to breakfast noise. The breakfast was good and timely. There was a hot option (bread pudding and chicken and herb sausage)...
