"Arrived and checked in quickly. Efficient young chap did all the preliminaries and we headed to our room. Room was in the main building at the front. Large room with plenty of wall lights and lamps as well as spot lights. Lovely sized room and bathroom. Plenty of boiling hot water as soon as the tap was turned. Beds were clean and very comfy. "Friendly, helpful staff. Made the stay enjoyable and easy. Would absolutely stay again!"

"The hotel is under refurbishment so building work going on. (Not advertised) Queen room booked to be told one wasn’t available because I had booked a standard. Had to contact Expedia who then refunded a small amount for inconvenience. Paid for three course dinner to be told there was only pizza or curry available no starters so had chips instead, did not eat curry as was undercooked chicken. Wrong dessert was then given out. (We were not the only disappointed diners with some asking refunds...

"We had a 1 hr wait for our room to be ready .spacious and clean but tatty and needing redecorating .wallpaper hanging off the walls shabby furniture. Towels and bedding good. below average standard. Bank Holiday weekend booked fora spa weekend and the salon was shut the entire time of our stay. Disappointing. I could not recommend this hotel The staff were brilliant and the best thing about this hotel"

"We had a lovely stay. Andrew was a great host and showed us everything we needed. The bar was humming and our dinner was fabulous. We had a great nights sleep. The renovated bathroom was excellent and had a nice big shower. Room 2 was lovely overall. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.. Overall we had a lovely overnight stay at the Cricketers Inn and would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area. "

"I expect that no one from Expedia had visited this 'hotel' basically a pub with four rooms. They were tired, decoration poor, carpets grubby, toilet was noisy (Macerator) no breakfast options at all and very expensive, £95 per room!"

"Nice hotel and staff. 4 Euros per day to use gym. Should be included in hotel cost / complimentary. Perhaps separate group, however same building. Sauna, steam room, pool and shower we very nice as were the locals who I met with gym memberships."
