"Great option if staying in Devon. A quiet town with lovely locals and beautiful sights. The rooms were exactly as pictured. The staff were really nice with any needs we had. Megan in particular was amazing help each day. In the future I think each room could do with some sort of small mini fridge."

"Rooms - as expected, clean and comfortable. Service - very good all round, a friendly and efficient team. Breakfast - nice and varied, I particularly liked the pancake machine and watching them being cooked. Location - convenient half way stop for us, travelling from Leicester to Lands End. Parking - half price (£7) if staying in the hotel, 24 hours, code issued at reception and payment made at the same time as check in using a payment meter."

"We initially walked straight past reception as it wasn't immediately obvious, the receptionist was hidden behind the very high desk and certainly wasn't the most helpful - I don't think she wanted to be there! The room was ok but the lack of light was an issue when trying to read in bed and it was very hot and stuffy (obviously not helped by this weather, but it took me a couple of days to be able to open the window.) The bathroom was lovely and clean with toiletries provided and plenty of towels. All in all it was an OK stay, but I wouldn't rush back."

"The staff in this hotel without exception were all very very personable and proud to be part of their team. Never quite encountered such a genuine group. Don’t forget to give the succulents a little water in the bar restaurant though!"
