"As we had a full day on Friday, leaving home 5-am.visiting varios towns en-route,our last visit of the day was Burton--on --Trent ,to have an overdue meal before making our way to The Beeches . We were very pleased to be shown to our room. It was lovely, nice & clean & very comfortable, beds nice also.
Once settled in wanted to relax just for a little while ,& check something on the TV. but unfortunately unable to get it to work !!
With the help of one of your member of staff he was able to...
"Decent sized room and bed and bathroom was clean. Room carpet let it down with some horrible stains on it and floor boards were creaky throughout the hotel. We have a yearly family get together nearby so location was good and we will likely return next year if prices are competitive. Air conditioning was good in the room and made a big difference."
"Veldig hyggelig og sjarmerende lite hotell med fantastiske verter.
Gammelt bygg som er satt i stand. Rent og pent. God frokost. Et sted å føle deg hjemme. "
"Lovely convienient hotel needs a bit of up keep but certainly 9k for a night or too. Comfy bed, other guests were a bit inconsiderate but thats nit the hotels fault wouls stay again "
"Lovely place to stay. Each room has its own front door onto the car park. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The food and drink in the pub is really nice and the breakfast is brilliant. Will stay again if in the area. "

Town centre a short walk. Parking more than adequate. I think if you can put up with the road noise of a weekend its one of the best hotels in town. Parking my confuse some as the hotel is on an island. Check during winter for flooding which can close the old bridge. Popular during the towns annual...
"Second visit and a very warm welcome once again, we stayed in the main building this time, plenty of stairs to room six, but a big room with a massive bed and nice views down the high street"
"A rather old fashioned hotel Huge room 208 and very large bathroom Surprised to get an excellent jacket potato with tuna cheese and salad for supper ! "
"Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh!
We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....
