"Room was basic, hot water was sporadic. The staff was very nice. The breakfast was good. I imagine the views are amazing, unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate with us. "

"My family's stay at Nafre House over the winter holiday was wonderful. The bed and breakfast is a perfect location for anyone visiting the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve and the surrounding area, the rooms were spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the staff were unfailingly gracious and helpful, in both English and our attempts at Spanish. They even brought us a New Year's Eve gift. We would recommend Nafre House to anyone visiting this beautiful area. "

"We were only in Monteverde for one night, and this was a great B&B! Spacious and comfortable. Jenny made and served us a fantastic breakfast to start our day, too! Will definitely consider staying there again if and when we visit in the future."

"It was a very nice resort and we had a great time walking the Puma trail and relaxing in both the heated an unheated pools. Breakfast was very good and the coffee was excellent."
"Nice and helpful staff. Good breakfast buffet options. Gorgeous views of the nature and the volcano. Only I wish the restaurant on site wasn’t so expensive…"
"This was a fantastic experience as a first time traveler!
All of the staff were extremely helpful!! In particular, Jocelyn helped get us book a taxi at 6h50 in the morning! And they all provided excellent tips for what to do in Monteverde.
And the kitchen staff were so kind, and they are great cooks, breakfeast was incredible.
The view from our room was one of the best part of our trips!
I will definelty be coming back on my future trips to Monteverde."
"Beautiful property with stunning views of Arenal. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was great each morning with made-to-order omelettes, a new variety of main dish options each day, yummy baked goods with fresh tropical jams (mixed tropical fruits & green papaya were my favorites), and a nice selection of sauces to add. Thermal springs were a main highlight of the stay, 7 pools allowed different temperature options. Their included relationship with another thermal springs property made for a nice day trip to experience slightly hotter temperatures off-site. It’s a little way off from the main strip of La Fortuna activities, but if the main goal is relaxation and light pampering then this is a great option. Really nice spa service menu. Restaurant menus provided a decent range of options for lunch and dinner. In-room hot tub was nice but the thermal springs were the best. Would absolutely stay here again."
"The hotel is gorgeous! The area between the rooms where the pool is, is full of greenery so there's so much wildlife right in the hotel - there was a sloth in a tree in the carpark and iguanas outside reception and loads of bird song and frogs - it was amazing! The staff were so helpful and friendly, they really went above and beyond to help us enjoy our stay. The room was comfortable and clean with a seating area outside. The bathroom was clean and well equipped. Breakfast was tasty and they were accomodating to our dietary needs. The location is great - just a quick walk into town
We had an amazing time staying here, would highly recommend!"

10/10 Excellent
"The front desk staff was very friendly and willing to help. We were welcomed with a refreshing fruit drink spiked with rum per our request. We were driven to our room on a golf cart and on the day of departure both times helping with our luggage. It was especially considerate since my friend has a back injury and we were on the 3rd floor. There was full breakfast included. The overall experience was wonderful."
