Chez Daniel was a wonderful stay in Antigua. It's a bit outside the center of town, which made it a good enclave outside the hustle and bustle. The team went out of their way to make my stay special; I did the overnight volcano hike and they allowed me to keep my car parked in the lot for safety. Highly recommend for a visit to Antigua!

Great service! Very friendly and professional. The room was clean and surprisingly big. The street is quiet and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast/coffee were great. Next door to a convenience store and just a few blocks from a main road. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Antigua for the first time!

Very comfortable and pleasant stay in Antiqua.spacious room and bathroom with lots if closet space . Walkable to every attraction and yet quiet enough to get good night sleep Fantastic breakfast every morning Fully equipped kitchen with stove and fridge in common space . Great selections of books to read while you there Lovely terrace with breathtaking views of 3 volcanoes. Veronica is a lovely hostess she arranges everything you need and very responsive to any question Owner if this place Daniel its a very interesting gentleman with unbelievable stories about Guatemala and Antigua Highly recommend this accomodation to everyone

“An Unforgettable Stay at Chez Daniel – 11/10 Expe

Here’s a draft for your review: We felt welcome at Chez Daniel from the moment we arrived. Veronica greeted us warmly, laid out a map, and gave us an excellent orientation to the town. She even helped us arrange transportation from the airport at a great price, which was so convenient. The breakfasts were amazing, and they went above and beyond to accommodate my wife’s gluten and dairy allergies, which we deeply appreciated. Sitting on the terrace and watching Fuego erupt—seeing lava at night—was absolutely unforgettable. We also loved talking with Daniel and admiring his incredible photography, showcasing decades of life in Guatemala. The images displayed throughout the property added a unique and personal touch. Chez Daniel is quiet, comfortable, and incredibly relaxing. Truly a standout experience. 11/10—highly recommended!

Chez Daniel is your home away from home. The team makes it an wmeffort to make sure you are fully accommodated and taken care of. The facilities are extremely picturesque, on a quite corner of La Antigua. Walking distance from everywhere! Veronica was very easy to communicate with and gave me a very insightful and much needed overview of the layout of the city and it's landmarks. Props to her and the team to accommodate breakfast, check in and check out times! If you have the pleasure of Daniel himself, please do yourself a favor and spare some time to converse. Very interesting individual and gives you a great perspective on why La Antigua is so popular with foreigners. Make sure you ask him about his Photography. Overall, I loved my time at La Antigua, but the accomodations Chez Daniel provides I think overcast any other Bread and Breakfast in town. Thanks all!

Just wrapped up 3 amazing nights at this cute boutique hotel in Antigua. The star of the show? Veronica - what a gem! She welcomed me late in the evening (9pm) and went above and beyond with local tips and maps. My room was peak Guatemalan charm with those classic red tiles and French windows. Best part? Waking up to volcano views while sipping my morning coffee! The breakfast was a nice French twist, and when I asked for some protein, they happily added eggs and beans to my meal. Super accommodating - they even served me early on my last day! Location is spot-on - quiet enough for peace but close enough to everything. It's like getting a sneak peek into real Antigua life, hidden behind those gorgeous colonial walls. Heads up - wifi was spotty in room 4, so pack some backup data if you need to stay connected. Overall? Totally worth it for an authentic, cozy stay with fantastic personal service. If you're looking for a home-away-from-home vibe in Antigua, this is your spot! 🇬🇹✨

Veronica was great and very helpful before we even arrived to Antigua. Room was very spacious. Comfy table. Reasonable breakfast. Fresh juice, fruits, jam, baguette, coffee (no eggs). Veronica organized a shuttle for us from Antigua to Panajachel.
