"We have been in this hotel many times and always liked it a lot. In the last couple of years, we feel it’s a getting a bit run down. Lots of broken chairs at the beach. The food so so. We still like the place but perhaps the most concerning issue is that the beach has far more rocks than it used to and there are massive sting rays swimming close to shore which means you need to be super careful when you get in the water and I would not allow young kids alone. That makes it fun to snorkel...

"I really like going to Sian Ka’an because it is fairly quiet and you can eat dinner at a wide variety of à la carte restaurants each nights. You also have full access to the other three resorts. Had a try relaxing, wonderful time."

Other than that hotel was very nice people nice. The food was good. I wish I had known you can go to the other restaurants in the other properties before the end of my trip. "Bahía Akumal was prefect for our family of 4 with two young children. The sister hotels were also easily accessible giving plenty of options for the children and us. "

"Rude staff, I rented a hotel price arbnb place and I thought I was renting a hotel room. No service, noone came to take out trash and noone came to bring an extra roll of toilet paper. When asked if we can acess the pools - hard NO … when asked why- Well since last year we changed our policy but we haven’t changed the information online, and we need DAILY PASS OF $60-$100 depending which pool. Very misleading. When asked about hot water - we will fixed and they never did. "
