"We had to be in Oxfordshire for the funeral of a very special friend and came across the Red Lion in our search for accommodation for a couple of days. Our experience was excellent - the room was fine and very comfortable and the kitchen provided excellent menus. But the main comment is how brilliant your staff were - they made our visit so much more agreeable than it might have been."

The full vegetarian breakfast was delicious and really well cooked - a nice bonus to have this included for a minimal extra charge. Tracy at breakfast and Gino in the evening were stand out members of staff but everyone we encountered was as helpful and friendly. Beth & Damon on reception gave us a warm welcome. "

"I was blown away by this hotel. Booked the 3 bed room, not expecting acting much, but it was roomy, comfy, clean. Water provided, plenty of Tea and coffee, great staff and a breakfast worthy of a 4* hotel. Huge recommendation. "
